She is extremely beautiful, full of life, and super talent . Her name is Retta Reye, She is from the WEST COAST. After a brief conversation with Retta, I could immediately tell she is very focused on achieving great things.

Retta Reye Just recently dropped her first and well-anticipated EP “PULL UP” on all major streaming platforms. PULL UP Combines an infectious melody and gentle soft vocals, the type of vocals you would crave when listening to music with your spouse or significant other.

Her vibe is infectious and after listening to her songs, I can assure you I will definitely be on the lookout for more of her projects.  As an artist who originates from the west coast, she aims to follow the successes of artists like Dr. Dre, The Game, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J Blige, Queen Latifah, Salt N Pepa Just to mention a few.

Her music is also heavily influenced by artists such as Erykah Badu, Ari Lennox, Solange, Sza, and Jhene Aiko who she resonates with. Listen to her first single PULL UP below and feel free to tell us about your first impression of it.

If chief Obi was a soccer player, I would say Chief Obi is an in-form striker, because at the moment he is scoring many hits. His previous singles have set him apart from the competition and placed in on the path to greatness. Kudos to him and his management, they all seem to know what they are doing. Mr. Obi falls in the category of Falz, Teni, and Broda Shaggi who first gained the attention of the masses with comedy skits on Instagram, then later channeled that attention and love to their music and other forms of art.

Chop daily is a dance platform on instagram with over half a million followers  . They pretty much post viral dance videos and many of them are a joy to watch . They recently partnered on a song with two Ghanian artiste (Wusu and MMorgan) to start a dance challenge as a way to promote the song. There has been many so many dope dance entries for the challenge and the strategy is working .

Yesterday i was listening to Fela’s music and it felt like Fela was still alive because all the Villains he mentioned on the songs are still active in government and all the  issues he was raising people awareness to are still the issues we are facing today. Nothing has changed , but the sad part is that those songs by Fela were recorded in the 70’s and 80’s, how embarrasing ..

Nigeria my Country is in the hands of hooligans, illiterates, thieves and corrupt individuals. It is the home of illogical reasoning, stupidity, cruelty, and hypocrisy. Nigeria is also the biggest economy in Africa, the most populous black nation in the world and the giant of Africa. With all the wealth and resources available at the disposal of the government, people still suffer from the lack of basic amenities, lack of education and a lack of equal opportunity. A country blessed with abundant human and natural resources yet it is the world’s capital for Poverty, tribalism and nepotism. Where different tribes and religious groups speak of unity but hate themselves so much that they refuse to marry each other. How can you be united when you discourage the very foundation of unity (marriage)? A country where police brutality is the other of the day. A country where elections are perceived as an opportunity to intimidate, murder, massacre and maim one another. I saw on the internet how people prevented other citizens from voting, some others snatched ballot boxes and burnt up ballot papers – Is that not a treasonable Felony ? – A crime that is in all ways comparable to planning a Coup d’état. The people are wicked but yet very religious. What an Irony!
