The African music Legend and 2015 MTV best African act winner Innocent Idibia popularly known as 2Baba visited Club Kalakutah; one of the biggest clubs in Indianapolis, USA, on the 13th of July 2019. It was a memorable event that also featured the Popular Nollywood star Alex Ekubo who was in the building to promote his new movie ” The power of one “.
Afrobeat artists such as Rilo , Desbee , Detox, and Mr Duke were also present to thrill the crowd.
Parris Ladame made a club appearance at the number one African club in Indianapolis and here are the photos of the event. The event took place at ClubKalakutah 4718 Century Plaza Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46254. Parris Ladame is arguably the most important Hip-Hop artist Indianapolis has to offer at the moment. She was also joined by the Cameroonian singing sensation PMartt who dazzled the audience with his performance.
Zone of fire is a monthly music event at Club Kalakutah aimed at showcasing the raw abilities of local emerging talents. The event is hosted by Mazi ifeanyi and Jay tha sexologist. This edition featured two of Indiana’s most prolific artists by the names Amerikkken and Sprove.
Over the weekend, Club Kalakutah played host to Chief Obi and Niki Tall- two super talented entertainers who have taken the world by storm.
Chief Obi arrived the entertainment scene with his comedy skits but quickly transitioned into music. In my opinion, he remains one of the few or probably the only one who gets booked as a comedian and a musician. Other comedians who have tried to venture into music after building a fan base with comedy have failed woefully.
Niki Tall, on the other hand, is a German producer. He was born and raised in Germany. According to him, he fell in love with Afro-beats after he visited a Nigerian Night club in Germany with his brother where they both listened to Afrobeat all night. He became famous after he posted a cover to 9ice hit single ‘Gongo Aso’ on social media. The video went viral and made him the famous celebrity he is today. He sings in Nigerian languages especially, Yoruba, and Pigin English
Both chief Obi and Niki Tall were at the biggest Club in Indianapolis over the weekend to celebrate Memorial day with their fans. The event also featured performances from Indiana’s finest acts such as Khiry Managan, Rilo, Afro rolls, and Timmy Rochy. These are a few photos from the event. The photos were shot by Bree Danielz.

Falz was here in Indianapolis USA over the weekend as a part of his ongoing tour of several states in the United States of America. This event hosted by ClubKalakutah had an impressive turnout and Falz in return dished out an energetic performance, performing some of his songs from way back to the delight of his fans. After the show, Falz praised ClubKalakutah for putting together a fantastic show. He also singled out the promotional team of the club for creating the buzz that surrounded the event. Speaking to the manager of the club, Falz said “ I did not really know what to expect when I was told we were going to Indianapolis, I was like wow because I do not really hear about shows here but when I came on stage, it was mad! You guys really turned up, Kudos to you. ”
Falz also spent some time taking questions from friends and fans while enjoying a meal at the famous Kalakutah African restaurant in Indianapolis, United States.

The name Kalakutah originates from Nigeria. It refers to a breakaway state created by Nigeria’s music Legend and Afrobeat founder Fela Anikulapo Kuti. He created the state to be free from Government interference, Police brutality, corruption, and bad policies. In other words, it is meant to be a place to freely enjoy what you love doing.
Don’t forget that Falz is going to be in the building on the 27th of April 2019.
Ayo Niyi Olufemi officially launched his book Concealed at the very popular Kalakutah Restaurant in Indianapolis USA. The red carpet event was attended by his friends and family which consists of his wife, two sons, and a daughter.
When asked a question about what inspired the book, he said ” My inspiration stems from poor parenting. There are fathers that would punish their kids by threatening not to pay their school fees. Such behavior is unacceptable and it must be brought to light that it is not ok”. The book was a very emotional one for me, it is from my personal experience. When I first conceived the idea, he continued, “ my partner Mr. Fiesta asked me if I really wanted to tell this story, I said yes, but by the time I was done I couldn’t even go back to read it. It was that emotional ”
He also stayed back to sign some books for the guests and take pictures. Here are some pictures from the book launch. The event was hosted by the beautiful Yeye Oge 1 Of Indiana.
The city of Indianapolis came out in full regalia to party with two of Indiana’s most illustrious sons; BigDemmy and O’Drey as they celebrated their birthday in style. The evening started with a house party at the residence of the celebrants, then later on the party moved to EKO (The club Experience); a fantastic venue located on the West side of Indianapolis. The reception was very nice and I must appreciate the management and staff of EKO for the very professional package. DJ Xclone, DJ Stunt, DJ Mystelle were on hand to dish out beautiful music.

Concealed is a book written by Ayo Niyi Olufemi. It tells a story centered around abuse, neglect and mental stress. Parents who might have been extremely harsh and abusive towards their children or children who were victims of child neglect, abasement, and as a result might have suffered some horrible childhood experiences. If you have experienced any of the above, or know people who may be facing this type of situation then this book will speak to you. It is a time for self-reflection, a time to heal and forgive everyone who has hurt you and then forgive yourself.
The author Ayo Niyi Olufemi holds a Bsc. in Psychology from Indiana University-Purdue University (IUPUI), USA and an MSc. in Criminal Justice. He currently works as a supervisor at Resource Treatment Center.
