One time for the one time. Let me first say a massive Happy Birthday to one of USA’s most prominent Afro-beat DJs in the person of DJ Drey. As part of ways to mark his birthday today Jan 26th, DJ Drey releases a banging single titled “Lagbo Drey” featuring T-ME Singsong – A prominent USA based Nigerian artist who has risen through the ranks from the streets of Lagos to lighting up shows and parties in and around Indiana, USA. He is highly respected and is emerging as one of the most important figures in the Afro-music scene in USA. Lagbo Drey is definitely going to make it to a lot of parties and playlists not just because it is owned by a DJ but because it really gets you grooving soon as the song comes on.

The song comes with a very well put together visualizer.  We would like to use this opportunity to wish DJ Drey aka Osha Pranpran a Happy Birthday and a healthy and successful 2021. We are officially in the season of parties, parties and more parties! The season where DJ’s become the world’s richest. DJ’s are about to make a fortune especially if you consider the number of end of year parties we are going to have this season. I may just consider being a party DJ for 2 months.

2019 has been an extraordinary year for Nigerian music, and the growth is expected to carry on till 2020. The music Industry might just be one of the few positives, and the only sector we experienced growth as a country.

It was a really bright atmosphere last night at Club Kalakutah as one of Indiana’s most prominent Disc Jockeys, Dj Drey , celebrated his birthday last night . The exclusive event was attended by his closest friends , family and associates . The night featured high life performances by Akin Olowo and comedy by Mc ChrisJoe Jagaban . Another outstanding Dj from Indianapolis , DJ Xclone was on the wheels of steel dishing out a compilation of songs befitting of a colleague’s birthday party.

Club Kalakutah, named after the Nigerian Afro-beat Legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti, is the arguably the biggest African club in Indianapolis, and one of the very few clubs that play Afro-beat and high-life music in the city . It houses the most African parties, especially on the weekends. Flex Saturday, is already a favorite among IUPUI and Ivy Tech students . It serves as a great way to network; relieve stress and rejuvenate while listening to African music from the likes of DJ DellyJay , DJXclone and the birthday boy himself , DJ Drey . Although Saturdays are always packed and Sunday are reserved for the more traditional Tungba or Highlife music, you can always find an activity going on at club kalakutah even on the week days .

This is one place i recommend you visit if you are spending a night in Indianapolis because there is always something entertaining  going on at the venue . It also houses the very famous Kalakutah restaurant , one of the few places you will find original African cuisine on the menu.
