Afrorolls has just released the much anticipated “Don Corleone” EP. The USA based Nigerian artist has been very active and prominent in the music scenes in the USA and has finally put out his first body of work.

Formerly known as Drumsticks, he has also contributed as a producer and songwriter to many HUGE projects in Nigeria. Don Corleone EP is available on all platforms and has been digitally distributed by Mazifeanyi, LLC. The 8 track EP features two highly respected artists Teeklef and Sadadi who have already made a name for themselves in Indianapolis USA and Atlanta USA respectively. We spent a full day in the studio with a big-time Afro-beat artist from Indiana USA called Afrorolls @afrorolls . We were looking to understand his music-making process and see how he comes up with amazing tunes. it was a time well spent! Good food, plenty of alcohol and music is a recipe for long life.
Check out the summary of our stay with Afrorolls as he continues to stack up good music. We are glad to be a part of the process for slow wine and we can’t wait for it to drop.

Business Mogul and entertainment entrepreneur Zarnorty brings together two of Indiana’s finest Afro-beat acts Afrorolls and T-ME Singsong on this summer vibe. T-ME Singsong was recently in the news for the release of his much-anticipated Take II EP, while Afrorolls has held back the release of several of his works due to the impact of the Corona-virus on the entertainment industry.

The music scene is beginning to start back up and the summertime is such a great time to release a holiday track. Afrorolls reminds us of the Great Fela Anikulapo Kuti in this highly spiritual new single titled Ire. This is Afrobeat in the purest form. Ire means blessings, it is a powerful prayer song asking chi for blessings, according to Afrorolls we all need grace and blessings from Oluwa to make day to day progress.

Ire is Dedicated to all the young people trying hard to find their way through the hardship of this country. People find themselves in extreme conditions having crossed the boarders into Foreign lands for greener pastures. When I wake up in the morning these are all my prayer points, I just decided to put them all in a song, I pray for Ire (Blessings), for Ife (love), for success, good kids, nice houses, divine favor, and good vibes.

“Ki ire ko ya lo odo mi,  ki Iyanu ya lo odo mi
Make I get some girls for my hood, wey dey feel all my gbedu ,
Make Oyinbo dey fell all my tunes”

“This is a prayer for blessings, divine favor, and acceptance,” Afrorolls says.

The song produced by Killertunes also has a political side to it, it features samples from what sounds like the voice of Olusegun Obasanjo, a war veteran and former two-time president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The sample sees him endorsing Dele Momodu’s presidential candidacy saying he is the most qualified young person in Nigeria. This vocal sample on this song is mind-blowing and can have so many meanings. It will be interesting to ask Afrorolls or Killertunes why the choice of that sample. Killertunes is also responsible for hits like Manya by Wizkid and Yeba by Kiss daniel.

Afrorolls has come through again, this time with the much awaited official video to his banging single “Alasiko”. The video is once again directed by Mazi Ifeanyi who has been involved in a number of top-notch videos this year.

The title of the song “Alasiko lo laye” means a patient man owns the world. According to Afrorolls, he has had to endure some trying times and be very patient for his time to come. Right now, he aims to share his inspiring story to let the world know how being patient has led him to having a happy life. A good woman, good children, good houses and cars will come to you if only you can wait for your time.

Afrorolls releases behind the scene visuals to his much anticipated video “Alasiko”. The song which has already created a lot of buzz around the entertainment circles in Indiana is now getting it’s own visuals. This is a huge promotional move for something that is already a main stay on people’s playlists.

Once again, the visuals and the settings of the video look super nice and we anticipate that the final outcome of the video will be one to behold. Congratulations to Afrorolls on what seems to be his first ever video release.

The video was scripted and directed by Mazi Ifeanyi while Threshold productions shot it.

All the way from Indianapolis USA we present to you Afrorolls’s new single titled Alasiko. Alasiko is a fast tempo, high paced song guaranteed to take over the clubs and every DJ’s playlists. The heavy single is a combination of African drums, trumpets and percussions. Afrorolls is also on the verge of shooting the visuals to this single.

Indianapolis is making big strides in becoming the leading Afrobeat community in America. Over the years, the artists in the city have been very consistent churning out amazing sounds. The likes of Afrorolls, Mr Duke, Teeklef, Timi singsong, and Rilo have held it down all through 2019.

It may take a minute before the city pushes aside Atlanta, Maryland, Houston, Dallas, and New York in becoming the main hub for Afrobeat music in the United States but the movement is beginning to gather so much momentum. S/o to Afrorolls for this one.
