First of all, Happy Birthday to a King!

Today is the birthday of one of Nigeria’s best producers resident in the USA. Doystks is a producer whose impact in the Nigerian music industry in the USA has been felt all over the African community. Real names Dammie Oyedapo, Doystks has grown into one of the most respected African figures in the United States after helping many top-rated artists put together their songs and write their music. Although he moved to New Jersey, Doystks still ran away with the Best Producer of the year award at the most recent Afrique Entertainment awards held in Indianapolis, Indiana USA – such is the impact of his work.

On his birthday (Today) he chooses to release his single titled Fire featuring an equally talented artist called Ligero. The song basically details his journey so far and is thanking God for the kind of blessings that he has received so far. This is a perfect birthday song. The Indianapolis local scene is booming with a lot of great African music and entertainment talents and it is so necessary that we begin to support and recognize talents to reinforce good behavior and appreciate hard work. As a community, this is not a choice it is an obligation. It will alsp ensure brand growth and development within the community. These are the main reasons for creating the Afrique Entertainment Awards.

Afrique Entertainment Awards powered by mazifeanyidotcom has come and gone but the memories will linger on for decades. This is laying the foundations for bigger and greater things to happen in the future. The glamorous event took place downtown Indianapolis at the prestigious Michael’s Soul Kitchen and we had a lot of high profile celebrities in attendance.

Teeklef who was nominated in 5 categories led the winners on the night, bagging three awards for himself, while Afrorolls and DJ Marco went home with two awards each. Mr. Fiesta went home with the best Media personality of the year 2019.

Highlights of the event include performances from T Music, Afrorolls, and the hosts TME Singsong and Kambria Moncrief.

Contrary to many opinions, Organizers of the event say that this is the most fairly conducted awards, as winners of the awards were determined purely by the votes they gathered from their fan base. “It is important that artists are able to draw the power of their fan base at any point in time because that is the measure of your brand and that is how you are able to stay relevant”. This edition is a foundation for what will come in 2021. Next year’s edition will be bigger and better as they are looking to add more categories and have more sponsors.

Indianapolis based Afrobeat artist Rilo has released brand new photos to further fuel the anticipation of what is to come this new year 2020. The best Afrobeat artist nominee at this year’s Afrique Entertainment Awards is known to be a lover of high-end fashion and keep his closet filled with designer apparel… The boss’s life.

Rilo also announced a new single amongst other things that are scheduled to drop soon.

There has been a lot of hardworking brands from Indianapolis in 2019 and this is the time of the year when we recognize their contribution to the growth of the Industry. The criteria include has to have been resident in Indiana and has contributed towards the African community in 2019, has to have reach, acceptability, Content, Quality, Relevance, and Influence in the year under review (2019).

The list was compiled by a committee of young professionals who have been watching the African entertainment scene in Indiana throughout the year in focus. Below are the categories, you are welcomed to vote for your favorite brands and entertainers. Voting ends November 17th, 2019.
