In the last few months, there has been a few relatively new artists that have caught the eye, and in my opinion, are destined to do great things if they continue to give off the same energy and vibe or maintain the same level of creativity they currently exhibit. One of such persons is Gisèle – The astounding singer from the United Kingdom.

Gisèle is a singer/songwriter from East London, specializing in the UK Afro Swing genre, Gisèle’s music boasts of worldwide influences including that of African, Caribbean, and European cultures. Being multilingual, Gisèle has the ability to add flavor and character to her music in various languages.

Her debut single ‘Let Him Go’ gained a lot of traction landing her a position on the Official Apple Music Afro Swing playlist just a week after its release and other playlists across Spotify. With a growing audience from all over the world including USA, France, and Nigeria to name but a few, ‘Let Him Go’ amassed thousands of streams in the first 2 weeks of its release.

The vibrant track by Gisèle has already been featured on several radio stations across the globe, and notably, premiered on Capital Xtra by DJ Tiiny, Stormzy’s official DJ. The song has also been played at Nike flagship store in London Oxford Street and other Michelin star restaurants in London.
The single has received co-signs from some big names in the UK urban music scene including S1mba, the mastermind behind hit song Rover which reached number 3 in the official UK charts.

DJ Smart is out again with another banger. This mix is thoughtfully put together to create butterflies in your stomach. All you need to do is plug a headphone and the hit play button. This one is one to go on a road trip with and you will not know how you got to your destination. Volume 1. was a hit and volume 2. sounds even fresher.

DJ Smart describes himself as an Afrobeats Dj from Indianapolis USA, but one thing I could deduce from listening to his mix is that he has great ears for good music. His new release “Smart’s Mix Vol 2” is filled with premium Afrobeats and Alté vibes from several African countries. I really enjoyed the quality and content of the mix and the transitions are so seamless and smooth. It is well put together.

The Mix has a very beautiful cover design also.
