Seyi is a Nigerian portrait and wedding photographer based out of Indianapolis, Indiana. He took up photography professionally in 2018 after learning from self-paced web tutorials on “The YouTube Varsity”, this coupled with mentoring sessions and internships with established photographers helped him blossom into one of the finest talents in Indianapolis.

His love for the old arts, paintings, details, emotions, and color spectrums is what inspires and reflects in the dexterity with which he shoots lifestyle and portraits. “I love weddings! From the love that flows through the air, to the cheery tinged emotions, to the artistically placed food and of course, and the incredible party! Wedding photography allows me to put all other forms of photography (Portraits, Documentary, Lifestyle, Product, etc.) together to tell a beautiful love story”..he said

“If I’m not shooting, I’m most likely out exploring food, (no, I’m not a foodie, haha), learning new stuff about photography, playing video games, or just chilling on a couch listening to audiobooks,” he continued

It’s been nothing but brilliant pixel-perfect beauty. Check out some of Seyi’s photos below

It has become a tradition to see artists release a song for their fans on their birthday. This new trend adds spice to the occasion and gives both the celebrant and their followers something to remember on their special day.

Nigerian-American Hip-Hop and afrobeat artist Teeklef releases a new single entitled “A Prayer for (Black) America”. The song is a commentary on the current state of the U.S. and the world and asks difficult questions about civil rights and social justice.

Teeklef is not known to be politically explicitly, but as a Black man in America, an immigrant, and a father, it is important to add to the chorus of brave and talented voices currently speaking up against systemic racism.

After the gruesome murder of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, Teeklef took to the streets in his current home of Indianapolis and stood with protesters. Frustrated by the difficulties presented to the Black community in the US and inspired by the reactions of so many people calling for change, he returned to his studio and wrote this song. “A Prayer for (Black) America” is a meditation on life as a Black person in America, but it is also a call to action to all of America to stand up, march for equality, and ‘say their names.’

Recall that George Floyd was choked to death by cops on the streets of Minneapolis sparking worldwide outrage and outcry against police brutality. Similarly, Breonna Taylor was fatally shot by Louisville Metro Police Department officers while asleep in her bedroom after they had forcefully entered into her home.
