M-trill & Rheymophoebus – The Calibre EP

If you were listening to Rap music in Nigeria around the early 2000s’ you must have come across Mtrill. He was a household name in Port Harcourt at the time and was winning huge awards like channel O music video awards ahead of his Lagos counterparts like D-Banj and Tubaba just to mention a few. He is one that many rappers in PH looked up to at a certain point in their careers. M-trill and Rheymophoebus share similar values. They are seasoned emcees and entertainment entrepreneurs with similarities, such as their mutual love for hip-hop and an undying passion for seeing their industry grow and thrive.

The calibre EP

The project was produced by Xblaze, recorded mixed and mastered by Ex-O, artistically directed by Psalmurai and A&R’d by Ms. Rae @3131 connect.

The Calibre EP is a celebration of life and the struggles of everyday living. The project was designed to touch fans and listeners in specific uplifting and introspective ways while still showing skills on the mic, but, more importantly, Calibre is also an Ode to B-Elect, a community leader in the Nigerian hip-hop industry that passed away a few months ago (RIP).
